Our core team of winders comes with approximately 345 years of collective experience. This experience consists of power generation, mill installations, HV stators, DC armatures and fields, salient pole and turbine rotors.

Team members are handpicked to work with Australian Winders. They possess the qualities and values that this company has adopted. They all have international experience, understanding the differences in cultures and people.

Tony O'Brien - Director/Winder
	31 years of motor/generator rewind/repair experience both nationally and internationally. Experience in all aspects of AC/DC, HV/LV motor repair. Has operated a labour hire business for 15 years, supplying labour and knowledge to Australia, Asia, Egypt and China. Business/Technical/Project management experience. HV coil manufacturing experience.
Stuart Ayton - contracted Winder/Management
	40 years of motor/generator rewind/repair experience both nationally and internationally. Experience in all aspects of AC/DC, HV/LV motor repair. Stuart is a contract winder now but has extensive experience in management as Business/State manager in Australia and New Zealand for ABB. He is credited for developing the ABB NZCC coil centre in New Zealand. He is a great technical source of knowledge for the team and readily available to the younger members for instruction.
John Pead - contracted Winder/Management
	32 years of motor/generator rewind/repair experience both nationally and internationally. Experience in all aspects of AC/DC, HV/LV motor repair. Many years experience in supervision and management of motor winding workshops in Papua New Guinea, Australia and Saudi Arabia with major international companies. John has been credited with the development of a turbine rotor repair facility in Saudi Arabia.
Brendan Hennelly - Contracted winder
	Brendan has also approx. 40+ years experience in the electric motor repair industry. Apprenticed at Brush Electric motors, England, Brendan has been performing high voltage motor / generator repairs / rewinds all his working life. A true ‘tradesman’ or more like a ‘craftsman’ in his field, he is an ideal addition to Australian Winders not only for his winding skills but mainly for training of younger team members.
Phil Hay
	With approximately 42 years experience in electrical apparatus repair, Phil is a vital new addition to the team. Phil has been hands on winder, supervisor, estimator, project manager, business manager and business owner and has worked in many countries as an expert in his field of electric motor / generation repair / refurbishment.
Rhien O'Brien - Winder
	Rhien is in the third year of his training. He has 4 mill installations already and is building his experience in all aspects of motor repair, winding HV stators, field coils, traction armatures and magnets. Our youngest member and a eager learner. Rhien has shown a skill in induction welding that requires mention.
Lee Hatton
	Trained at TGE in Perth, Lee is an enthusiastic young man with about 6 years experience, including his apprenticeship, in power generation repair and transformer refurbishment. Lee brings to the company a youthful, experienced element that is definitely required for the development of the business.
Scott Ruddle - Winder
	11 years of motor/generator rewind/repair experience. Experience in all aspects of AC/DC, HV/LV motor repair. Scott's father owned Perth Rewinds, so Scott was born into the trade! He is developing his international career with us and is a enthusiastic member of the team
Clint Walkerden - Winder
	After a 4 year apprenticeship and an additional 3 years as tradesman at a local firm, Clint realises the opportunities for gaining HV rewind experience, along with international travel, is the direction he is eager to take. Clint is another of the ‘younger’ group in our team that has a great attitude and willingness to learn.
Alex Cardenas
	Alex has been living in Australia for many years (a former employee of Murray!) He is Chilean and comes to us with many years experience in motor repair and rewinding. Alex also speaks Spanish, so now we have 2 guys to help with translation!
Murray Hart - Winder
	Also trained and apprenticed at F.R. Tulk &Co, Murray, based now in Thailand, has decided to forgo the company he built in the NW of our state, to work on different contracts around the world with us. 15 years in business, his customers include BHP, Woodside, Rio Tinto, to name a few.
Michael Greenham - Winder
	6 years part time experience in HV stator winding. Rewinds in such places as Malaysia and Geothermal power station experience in The Philippines. Michael is an intelligent person with drive and initiative that makes him a first choice winder each time!
Grant Connell - Winder
	Grant was trained at F.R.Tulk & Co, described in some countries as the ‘university’ of electric motor repair in this region. Grant is a sub contractor in his own right who is eager to further his rewinding experience by joining our team and travelling to remote sites around the world, winding the ‘big’ stuff!
Mike Hoath - Trainee Winder


	Mike is a licensed electrician. He is returning to the trade after seeking a different career route. He is also a member of the ‘young brigade’, guys that we are hoping will take the company forward with their willingness to learn and enthusiasm.
Jason Znidarich
MISSING PHOTO	At a young 32 years of age, Jason has a wealth of power generation winding experience. Projects include a 1000MW Nuclear powered liquid cooled rewind in USA, a 550MW liquid cooled turbine in Malaysia and has acted as winding supervisor on many projects. A very personable guy who is respected by all onsite.
