Generator windings reaching design end of life
- Removal of existing windings
- Clean conditions setup and Foreign Material Exclusion (FME)
- New winding install – bottom bars and top bars
- Bar seating (hose moulding) and bakeout
- Connection brazing (oxy propane)
- Brazing checks / SCW system leak checks
- Wedging and lateral wedges (side ripple)
- Anti-tracking varnish, gas baffles and monitoring systems
- Electrical testing
All four rewinds were completed within allocated timeframe, no LTIs recorded and all tests met the acceptance criteria.
